CAEN Code 9700: Activities of households as employers of domestic personnel

This class encompasses the activities of households that employ domestic staff, such as maids, cooks, waiters, valets, butlers, laundresses, gardeners, gatekeepers, stable hands, chauffeurs, caretakers, governesses, babysitters, tutors, and secretaries. It enables the employed domestic staff to specify the activity of their employer in censuses or surveys, even when the employer is an individual. The output of this activity is consumed by the employing household.

This class excludes:

  • provision of services such as cooking, gardening etc by independent service providers (companies or individuals), see according to type of service
