• Urban and suburban land transportation services for passengers, utilizing various modes of transport such as motor buses, tramways, streetcars, trolley buses, underground and elevated railways, etc. This transport follows scheduled routes and fixed time schedules, including the pickup and drop-off of passengers at designated stops.

This class also includes:

• town-to-airport or town-to-station lines
• The operation of funicular railways and aerial cable cars as part of urban or suburban public transportation systems

This class excludes:

• passenger transport by interurban railways, see CAEN 4910
